Bushings for Road Machinery

Technically called a bearing, it is the cylindrical tribological part that lines the interior of mechanical elements that rotate around an axis. Its main function is to reduce friction in the rotary movement of the axis or mechanical element and to assist in reducing vibrations. They are generally made of a low carbon steel grade to ensure mechanical resilience at low temperatures and to reduce the risk of cracking at high temperatures. For excellent bushing performance, the type of lubrication (hydrodynamic, boundary, mixed, or complete) must be taken into account.
