Industrias MAHER in Times of COVID-19

COVID-19 arrived as a global challenge, in which our Organization had to face great challenges and allowed us to discover our creative potential, the capacity to take care of ourselves, and the loyalty of our customers to the MAHER brand and quality.

 

Thus, in March 2020, once the global COVID-19 pandemic began, our Industry was strongly hit by immediate closures and prolonged quarantines in the country, during which 100% of our plant collaborators in Medellín had to wait at home while biosecurity measures and intermediate control were implemented at the national level, with which we could return to operation.

 

During this time, Industrias MAHER supported more than 60 families, preserving the jobs of all employees and ensuring their well-being and stability. These were months of uncertainty, of continuous work to create protocols that would guarantee a safe return to activities for the staff, as many of them are people who have spent a large part of their lives in the Company and to whom we provided the time and necessary means to protect their health.

 

In June 2020, Industrias MAHER reopened its doors, determined to accompany the market, its customers, who had also received significant impacts from the global pandemic, and support them in the awakening of the economy, which had frozen its dynamics for more than 3 months and required patience, perseverance, and a lot of confidence to return to normality.

 

Our customers and allies were supported by the Company, we resumed commercial relationships, provided them with favorable payment conditions, and maintained our sales promise: to provide products for the industrial and automotive sector with high standards of quality, timeliness, and efficiency.

 

On the other hand, our staff was accompanied and trained in building a culture of self-care, of which we are very proud today, as our infection rates are equivalent to only x%, that is, only x people from our work team have tested positive for COVID-19 in this first year of the pandemic. This is nothing but a source of pride and satisfaction for a team that has adapted to the new circumstances and is committed to the operation and sustainability of the Company.

 

This is how we managed to complete the first year of COVID-19, full of pride, tranquility, and learnings, in which we are convinced that when we believe in ourselves as a company, we create what we set out to do, that we have a human team that loves the Company, that our customers are also allies, and that this business trajectory will continue to leave a legacy of quality in the industrial and automotive sector.
